Newly discovered safety feature

Is this just on the S models or do all 4 door cars have this disabling feature?

Re: Newly discovered safety feature

I'm not sure if U.S. models get these. Weird considering almost all other makes in the U.S. have it, but it's nothing to lose sleep over.

RE: Newly discovered safety feature

The 99 ML child safety lock is on the console. It locks both the power windows and door handles. I'm not sure where the 2002 ML interlock is.

Mine has that too but it only stops the rear passengers from opening the windows. You can still open the doors from the inside rear.

Check and see if the 2002 has the switch. There's a slot for it in the 99 but the switch isn't there.

In the door? If so, it doesn't have it. W163 and W164 don't have it.

Re: Newly discovered safety feature

This switch has been around I know since 1962. I had it on a 220 S.
