Without a doubt its Germany!

fortunately there is a real MB german dealer who sells these on ebay germany.
So if you are in the states, don't pay big bucks if you are willing to put up with slow delivery times (as these are shipped by regular mail!)

I believe he now takes paypal and credit cards.

(BTW the part number is B6 781 2224)

Mine took at least a month via US Postal Service to arrive;
then, I received 2 within 3 days. Tried unsuccessfully to
return one via emails to the German dealer and phone
conversations with eBay. Finally, I gave up and sold one
to a local fellow SLK owner. Not worth the U.S. price but
how can I argue with net cost of $zero?
