Check it out ,a marine 4 cylinder !  Wonder what size boat it will propel?

thats AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

i always sorta dreamed of that......

that engine would be put into a sailboat of course...........

if i had a Shamrock (a type of boat manufacturer), i would put the 617 turbo in it !

see the blue thing next to the motor? that would be the heat exchanger, for the fresh/saltwater coolant loops...........

A displacement hull of 9-15 tons, if it's shaft output is 67HP.
I'd love to have one in this boat. Had no idea that marinization parts existed for these engines.

u probably have to just order the stuff, (generic, sort of) , install and hook it all up, and figure out how to mount it..............maybe....

Many Mercedes diesels are in boats. Nanni diesel used to marinize MB's - and the most expensive yacht engines for vessels under 90 feet are MTU- which is short for Motor und Turbine Union- which was until last year the off road arm of Mercedes. They make train, truck, construction equiptment and military engines also. It was sold to a group of European investors. I posted some pics of a set of MTU 16V2000 engines in the diesel engines pic thread.
