RE: Marsden

Haha... some things have to fall into place first.  I need to find a sweet one with low miles and I also have to sell my house and buy a new one with more garage space

I can't stand leaving nice cars outdoors.......

Sedan, and my favorite color is Burgundy

You taking orders?  I really want W126's from Japan or Nomad's if they aren't RHD...

Yeah, most of the Japanese cars are RHD, hence their popularity in the Southern Hemisphere. HK cars are also coveted.

I assume you’re looking for a second gen gas sedan.

Do you care about what engine? Long or short wheelbase?

Or would you take the best 126 you can find?

Most 560's from Japan from what I have seen on the auction posts and in person are LHD - some say it was a prestige thing - kind of like seeing a RHDer in North America. W124's, W201 and what not, there's a lot on the Japanese side....

Thats true about the LHD, because when these cars were being built and Japan wanted so many of them there was a backlog to get them produced in RHD or converted from LHD, so certain watched people simply started driving them as LHD cars, go figure..

Despite being a RHD market, most 126's I see for sale online are LHD
My 500SEL is from Japan, although it's RHD

I would want the best one I could find, and am ambivalent about both wheelbase and engine.

I also want to go to sleep tonight and have a dream which looks like Nomad's sig

Edit: Oh I have also just rented space in a local parking garage so I can get some more cars

Then you'll have no problem finding a good one.

“The power door locks have been disabled due to an electrical leak ( that would always drain the battery).”

Oh, brother. The fuse is just bad. Otherwise a great looking 420.

As for the 300 SE, the seller must be confused, the VIN check shows it as a US market car with option 420, an AT. I don’t believe there were any manual second gen cars and if there was one it would be the European market 260 SE.

Here’s the data for the 300 SE:

Good question, not that I'd try it, but over the years I have seen several RHD cars on the roads here and I don't think they were all "vintage"....  I'd say 9 of 10 were R-R's
