Oh yes, that is nice.

$10000 is a very good price as well, almost tempted to buy it and ship it over here!!

That's a very modern look for the interior.

Sweet indeed... so, "Special luxury edition with walnut folding picnic tables, walnut door panels, walnut cocktail cabinet" is a mfr option I hadn't heard of?

Wonder if it was avail over here in the Western Hemisphere too

If I had another 10k to spend on a car I would be all over it, and also somewhere to put it.

It says that it was imported, the number plate begins with url, so it was imported sometime in the mid 1990's. I guess it may have come out of Japan or Singpore which is where we get most of our MBs from.

The only thing that puts me off is the older patterned leather seats
I would have seriously considered buying that if it had the updated style, which looks far more luxurious than what that one has

Are the older ones not as good to sit in. When did the new ones come in. The thing that really makes the car is the airline tables.

'89 was actually the year the newer style came in, though I can't comment on differences in comfort

Of course, you're right, as your '88 420 has the 'good' interior
I should have known better, I was about to post pics of your cars seating for comparison

Interesting they don’t have the separate rear seats/coupe rear seat set up in place of the bench seat – that would work better with the executive suite on wheels motif the tables and wood trim bring.

Thats quite a good point I never thought of that, but then if you are traveling with a lady friend and have coupe seats........

LOL, I don't know if you are joking or not. Over at MB Wrold this one guy told me it is bad luck for the car to have it in the back seat.

Crap... I'm thinking I might have to go and look at that. $10k ono. Cheap. There was another 560SEL that was listed for $6500 ono! Needless to say it sold really fast!
