| Fuel Pump Relay
Circumstances dictate that I get a brand new fuel pump relay (loosing all power on a freeway is not the funnest experience in the world).
It's eerie that the car is so smooth that you are only made aware that the engine actually shut down when the lights come on, the rpm counter drops off and then you feel drag start to slow you.
I have to say that I am very much impressed that my 126 kept brake pressure in the booster until I was safe. I was eqally impressed with how my trunk's built-in hazard triangle combined with the hazard blinkers really helped keep my lane clear.
Anyway, my fuel pump relay is 003 545 01 05. Everywhere says it's supposed to be 003 545 25 05.
Any thoughts? I was thinking that the euro engine has a bit of a different relay.
Thanks,

You’ve tested the relay, I take it. Some have had success with resoldering.
I don’t see a problem using a relay for US spec cars; the ECU or EZL would be a different matter, however.
For me it was a bad fuel pump in my 300 SE.

003 545 01 05 is the old relay, where 003 545 25 05 is the updated one. Has nothing to do with Euro engine.
Got a new relay and she's back to herself.
