More from the Graz factory tour. Not sure who deserves the photo credit. Perhaps Harald P.

RE: Military Gs

Does anyone know if the Canadian military G lift is a result of springs or different body mounts?
Strange that they leave Graz with Canadian plates, thought that would be done after delivery.

RE: Military Gs

Looking at the gas tank exposure on the one with the rear licence plate makes me think body lift.

The exhaust pipe is so much higher next to the chassis rail....

I believe the D Rings are lift points for helicopter carriage.

Hi Ace - yes you are right! My guess is an overall weight of 5.4 metric tons.

Re: Military Gs

Next question Raiko; what are all of the round "warts" on the doors and body needed for?

That must me something new. On the older cars those things are smoother. Probably they are doing this to make field repairs of the armorplating easier. I am also wondering, what are the plates on side of the car(blue and black) for ? The older cars also don´t have them. Somekind of add-on armor or just transport protection?

RE: Military Gs

Hi Jeremy and Luky,

the ones on the truck are unfinished. Compare it to the one at the EUROSATORY show, which obviously is a finished one and you will discover the difference. They gonna get a further outside plating. Here is another finished one: The LAPV 6.X concept car.

Ok, so they're some kind of fastener then?

The fasteners are shaped so they dissipate blast and do not become a projectile themselves, I suspect also that there are further internal plates with a through fastener and a sandwich of kevlar or honeycomb structure between,
