Does anyone know why there is no M110 Data in WIS?

I am planning my Closing Surgery on the exhaust system of the old G, and, looking in both an old(er) WIS (2007), and my New STAR Compact 3, NEITHER one has any info on the M110 Engine? What the?

I even went through an old German Engine manual... but NO 14.1 Section! (Exhaust Manifolds)

I even searched under the 280 Sedans,,,, Nada!

The only values I am needing are:

Torque Values for Exhaust Manifold to Block,

Torque Values for Down Pipe to Exhaust Manifold (with the "correct" Spring Loaded Bolts, "this" time!)

They list every other engine known to mankind, but NOT the 110. The "average" values for other engines are 20 Nm, and 35 Nm, respectively, for the two values I need. Does this sound about right for those with experience on the M110?

Thanks,
G

Check with Dave (Hipine). He got my old paper M110 Shop Manual, and it was very complete. I don't remember specifically about the exhaust manifold; ut if anything will have it, that M110 manual will.

RE: Does anyone know why there is no M110 Data in WIS?

I could not find it as well and asked awhile back... here is the thread with some insight form the other gurus here:

I also looked in my newly acquired 1983 M110 2 volume  service manual for sedans which had no torque specs as well.

Mike,
Thanks a bunch for checking!

I went to the dealer yesterday, and they let me look through all of their old Paper manuals..

You are right, even those "bibles" are lacking the info about the M110. Dutch, I appreciate the refferal to Hipine.

Oh well, I think the 20 Nm and 35 Nm are going to be my targets.

Many thanks to WarrenT, and Titus who came to my aide, and were willing to sell me their spare Manifolds! Nothing like our G-Community, eh?

Re: Does anyone know why there is no M110 Data in WIS?

Just finishing my work on the m110 as well and still looking for torque values on the intake and exhaust manifold nuts. They are copper 12 mm exhaust lock nuts from the dealer. The Mercedes m110 engine manual has no info for those torque specs.
I was essentially planning on 23 nM on both side based on some non m110 aluminum block torque values in Benzworld posts, that is unless there are any better suggestions. 20 Nm as suggested above and a 200 mile recheck would be fine too.
