I've already had the A/C 'repaired' once at the shop. The work and parts have a warranty for a year after repair. I'm hoping the shop just screwed something up and I won't have to pay to get the A/C fixed. (I don't use that shop for anything else anymore, btw.)

iNeon Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Phone antenna Now which shop is that? I don't really trust people to work on my cars, if I bought a new one, I would almost rather they just give me the parts and replacement instructions instead of letting them repair it! At Dodge(centerpoint) the car would ALWAYS come back with another rattle or ill fitting piece of trim after every single warranty repair. The last time, I had them do a sunroof track(webasto-- don't go pretending Mercedes uses anything different) and a door speaker, the dome light never functioned again, and the passengers door panel was broken, the inside of the door was dented and scarred as well-- from the panel puller they used. NEVER trust anyone where your baby is concerned. Its good advice all around, actually.

Jillian80 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Phone antenna I'll PM you the shop, if you want. They were actually really friendly and professional. I'm not sure if the A/C malfunction is their fault--I just hope it is 'cause I'm poor. I don't use them anymore because I found another shop that is closer to me and the owner of the new shop is really nice and he doesn't talk to me like I'm a moron just 'cause I'm a chick.

I get the same thing from mechanic shops. Thats why I don't use them! Think we should both call the same shop and ask for a quote on the same work to see if they really do charge girls more? =P

jdc1244 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Phone antenna Although I agree that one must take care when dealing with shops and it’s best to do one’s own work, sometimes one has no choice. I’m fortunate in that I found a great indy in Tampa. The owners and mechanics there are all from Germany – they have the accents and everything. I can’t see Jurgen talking down to anyone, even if you’re a chick. He may go on a yelling rant about how much he hates MLs but he does that to everyone. What’s great about these guys is they will not work on your car if they do not know what is wrong and can’t fix it for sure. They send you away and tells you to come back when the problem happens again.

Oh no, he blames his fellow Germans back in Der Vaterland. The ML . My friends nanny had an ML and when I rode in it I was suprised at the lack of qualitity, it was all plastic, the leather was hard and it rattled. My car has no sound at 13 years young
