It sets a fault in the airbag computer that can only be turned off with fairly sophisticated tools (STAR, Baum, etc). Removing the wheel can be done by one person. Slide a 1x6 board through the steering wheel spokes and out the window. Pad all around the touch points with thick rags and you can crank on the stubborn bolt as hard as you like.

I took the advice of this post, and bought your Quasi-Patented System.... WOW!! I can't believe how well this works. In our new E350, my wife's "Amerigo Vespucci" Designer Jeans were staining the nice Almond Leather. I really thought the Leather would be permanently damaged... With your "3-Steps to success"... was AMAZING. Brand-Spankin' NEW!! Thanx for the Effort. G

Just what has worked for the past 10 years for me. I am glad it helped. My DIY posts are not at your level, but I hope it was helpful. I am truly thankful for the information you contribute to the forum, and to me personally. Thank you. You are a true fountain of knowledge.

I like this treatment better than the Lexol System, which leaves more of a "Shiny/Sticky" Residue. For commercial off the shelf product, I have found the only thing decent to be the Zymol commercial leather cleaner in gold bottle and conditioner in clear/white bottle. Far superior to the Lexol / Meguiar's stuff. Leatherique is way better than the Zymol, though. For an interior cleaner, you can't beat the Griot's Garage clear interior cleaner. It really, really works. On everything. And has no odor. I am happy that Advanced Auto Parts is carrying Griot's Garage now. The Griot's Garage leather products are very nice. Particularly leather care, which has a very pleasant aroma. Griot's/Leatherique/Zymol lead the way in interior care products in my book. Great pictures, G-AMG. Well done.
