so, JDC, would u mind starting to give me the details of where we are meeting up at?
JFlyer is around sarasota somewhere i believe, and Speed500SEC lives on longboat key, so i guess i'll try and meet them at an exit on 75 somewhere, but we need to decide what exit we and u tampa guys are gonna meet at, as i am very enthusiastic on cruising to the GTG en mass , radar dectector armed (i trust mine 100%) and finally get to do what i never get to do, Benz Cruisin...........maybe someone would have a video cam, and make a movie of us all passin the slow paced people, like in the Gumball races (ever see those? go to hollywood video, u can rent them there)
anyhow, we need to start planning, as this is coming up soon.........

For those in Tampa/Hillsborough/Manatee/Sarasota – and anyone else who would like to ride up to Z’hills we’ll meet at the Citgo Auto/Truck Plaza on N. US 301. It’s just north of the I 4 – 301 interchange.
If you’re on 75 north get off on I 4 west to Tampa. Then right away you’ll see the Hillsborough Ave. US 301 exit. You’ll be making a left of off the off ramp through the light to go north on 301. You’ll see the Citgo on the right; it’s a large sign and easy to spot.
I’ll be in Z’hills this Tuesday so I’ll make a dry run to ensue everyone gets there timely. I’ll be at the Citgo about 10:30 to 11, if we leave at about 11:30 we should roll in right on time.
Anyone feel free to PM me for more detailed or better instructions an/or my cell. |

Here are more detailed directions to the meeting place to go to Surf's:
Going north on I 75 take exit 261, I 4 west to Tampa. Take exit 7 off I 4 to US 301. You don’t really get on I 4 as the exit ramp/lane from I 75 becomes the exit lane/ramp for US 301. You’ll see the north/south 301 exit, take the north 301 lane - you’ll come to a stop light at the end of the exit. Turn left heading north on 301. Go perhaps half a mile and on the right you’ll see the Citgo Truck/Auto Plaza. |

Yes we're going. Mike Dolan said that maybe you could take the Fruitville Road exit off I-75 North then drive west to US41 (Fruitville deadends there approx. 5 mi. from the interstate) I can meet you in the parking lot of the Quay (just across the intersection of Fruitville and 41) at 10 a.m. Saturday. From there we will drive up to Mike's house on Longboat Key to pick him up and to meet up with hopefully a few others. We will then caravan on up to the meet. If this plan sounds OK to you let me know. You can reach me days at 941-266-1882 or evenings at 941-355-9691.
