Not a G but pretty cool

Buddy on mine in OH bought a used car wants me to go look at it for him here in Scottsdale

AMG SL65 black series 600 and whatever HP street rocket. Original purchase price was 220k. Sold yesterday for 56k. Holy depreciation batman.

I got to drive it all evening yesterday and holy smokes is that thing a handful. Fast as a 1 liter sport bike with brisk wall brakes and on rails handling. The whole package.

What an engine...I dont have the words.. its just ART.

Not likely ill ever drive a rig as nice as that again.

It gets picked up Sat for the trip to OH

RE: Not a G but pretty cool

Even if I could afford that vehicle, I would never, ever be able to afford the tires.

For a chuckle, give your dealer a call and ask for a price quote on 'A2750108600' (the engine out of one of those bad boys).. My EPC has an old price list and has it at "only" 87,000€ (~120K)..

That is not at all a Black Series. The SL Black Series sold for over $300k. Totally different car.

When I opened the thresd, it opened on the second (rear view) picture. For a moment, I thought I was looking at the yellow slk that was on a SWB G. Turns out this was something different. Nevertheless, nice car!

With that color, I am not surprised it sold for so low (just kidding).

Amaziung what hammering some of these 'exotics' take in the depreciation stakes.

Re: Not a G but pretty cool

My mistake it's not a black series.

Forgive me I don't know a thing about them.

Could have sworn he told me it was a black series.

Anyway it's gone away to my friend in OH to tear up the pavement.

I could not afford the tires either koly, or the upkeep. He told me a brake job was about 4k.

Re: Not a G but pretty cool

nice. Funnily enough here in town (Swindon, UK), I let out in the traffic a new S65.

My neighbour has an S63, but I don't think i've ever seen a 65 engined AMG anywhere in the UK before.
