shrimpton Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Re: Tint He(Jiggly) does now! - yet the argument for tints is valid as a means of saving the interior from UV disintegration, and the tint value (lighter-darker) has no bearing in this regard. Attempting to conceal illicit activities is another matter entirely...says Mr Plod the Policeman. | ||

http://www.huperoptik.com/Automotive.asp?cat=NaviAuto.inc More expensive than the run-of-the mill tints and PITA to install (has to be done professionally - by REAL professionals) but every bit worth it as it outperforms everything out there in terms of cutting UV, rejecting heat (keeps interior much cooler), durability, and classy looks.

Pinot Noir Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Tint Snibble - 9/22/2006 3:37 AM Jillian80 - 6/8/2006 5:03 PM I'm thinking about getting my windows tinted. Will tint protect my interior from fading, splitting, etc? I'm sure there are different quality tints. Are there any to request? Any to stay away from? Thanks for any advice. Hey JillyPie I have read of incidents where the installers of window tint have cut through wires for the defogger. For what its worth it must be true because that’s what I heard! Make sure you really crawl up the guy’s butt who does the install and scare the crap out of him with tales of a $1200 replacement cost. That way when he leaves a big ass gap it will look like a giant halo, as you have just been blessed with ignorance.... Isnt it pure bliss? By the way, this is what bliss looks like. Hey bone head! What kind of razor does one have to use to cut thru 1/8 inch glass? Becuase I am sure you are now well aware that the heater element on a w126 rear glass is in-between two sheets of glass! And where in this photo do you see any WIRES? Looks like a copper lead to me! Once agian Snibbles second hand knowledge has got him looking like the Poser we all know he is.
