LPG was an option offered on most vehicles during the fuel shortage and gov't funding of alternative fuel consumption.
The equipment was not installed at the factory but vehicles were sent out to authorized installation sub contractors.
Much like buying a cab and chassis and having it sent to a service box installation supplier for hydro or Bell.
Many taxis and fleet vehicles were purchased this way.
They are considered "factory" options as the install was part of the new vehicle purchase and included in the price from the dealership. |
