Does anyone have done it or, at least, had taken out the seat cover before? Do I need instructions on procedure or is it going to be just straight forward? Thank you

However the heating element in your G may still be a thin layer glued to foam — I’m not sure. Are you sure that your seat heating controls are functioning correctly?

I couldn't find any module for heat control, although I've seen it somewhere it says that the seat control module also has to do with heating pad control which I couldn't confirm. The passenger seat and the rear seats works perfect. I don't know much about how this works, and was hoping that the new heating pad will solve it. However, it appears that it's not a simple process to change the heating pad without taking the whole seat out and taking it all apart. Since I live in southern Cal, I can get by with what I have now. It's just that I want to make sure that everything works perfect on my truck. Does anyone have suggestion to remedy this? Also I can only find the part for the seat bottom, #4638200810. Are the heating element for the back and the side discontinued?

If there is degradation in the heating ability of the pad, I would expect it to occur in localized areas of the pad as the result of damage from excessive use (e.g. where the wallet is repeatedly compressed into the seat). If you observe degradation uniformly across the surface then I would expect there to be a drop in current to the pad. This could be due to loose or dirty connections.

The degradation is uniformly across, sometimes, once in a blue moon, the heating pad works much better like the norm, and I must think the connector or something might've been jammed somewhere inside. I'm not so sure at this point, if I want to pull out the seat and take everything apart.

Call VeteranCo or World Upholstery or GAHH and ask them for a good upholstery shop that is MB experienced. Special hog ring pliers are needed, etc...
