93 W463 SWB Spring Swap ?

Is there any point to changing coils from left to right to try and correct the slight list my car has to the drivers side. Havent yet checked condition of springs yet, fully intend to replace shocks and thought that if the springs were ok that it would be the time to swap them over, thats if there was any point to the exercise. Cheers.

RE: 93 W463 SWB Spring Swap ?

The list to the driver's side is quite common here, but it's probably the other side from yours in NZ.

It is mostly accepted as a G feature, but there has been some discussion of one possible way to overcome it.

Jack up the low side using the frame so that the front and rear axles hang down on that side. Loosen all the fasteners on the trailing arms and put some weight on the wheels to push them down further. Then retorque all the fasteners and lower the jack. Some have said that this reduces the list. Others say it's still there. I have no first hand experience with this technique.

Re: 93 W463 SWB Spring Swap ?

Decided that I can live with list, Its not that bad, Springs look in pretty good shape as well, however I am convinced that my shocks need replacing and would like to do so with a set of Bilstein B6 but cant find what I need here in New Zealand. Below is what Bilstein tell me I need but I just cant find: Any ideas where I might be able to find a set ?
