Vallejo, CA - June 14, 2019 – Expedition Imports is pleased to announce the acquisition of EuroTruck Importers spare parts operations. Distribution will be consolidated at the Expedition Imports facility in Vallejo, CA. There will be a short transition period in mid-late June as the operations are shifted from Oakwood, GA to Vallejo, CA. In addition, Expedition Imports will be bringing on additional qualified Mercedes G and Unimog customer support staff to handle orders and technical support.
EuroTruck has become the leader in G-Wagen spare parts in North America under the leadership of Sean Philyaw. According to Scott Ingham, President of Expedition Imports, "EuroTruck Importers has worked with Expedition Imports for well over 20 years. Bringing the two operations together takes advantage of significant economies of scale and allows us to serve both customer bases better.”
Sean Philyaw, owner of EuroTruck Importers, welcomes the transition stating, “Expedition Imports has done an outstanding job scaling their operations to handle the Unimog and SEE community in North America. It makes sense for them to expand into the G spare parts business with their existing operational structure and vehicle import-operations. Additionally, many of you may be interested to know that Steve Dempsey has come on full time to provide G tech and order support. Steve started today learning our systems and will be up and running in the coming weeks.
During the 2-3 week transition period, orders can still be placed on the EuroTruck Importers website, however no credit card information will be collected. Once the inventory arrives from GA, Expedition Imports will contact the customers and confirm their orders and collect their credit card information. This transition period does NOT impact the Expedition Imports website which will continue to fulfill orders as normal. In early July the combined inventories of G-Wagon and Unimog parts will be updated all in one location on the Expedition Imports site.
