The bulb-holder/reflector assembly had both feet broken off of it, and it was glued via putty to the black rubber base. Was able to source a used unit from a newer G (clear lens) and with a bit of judicious Dremeling on the bulb socket to adapt it to my "old skool" bulb holder, it came out quite nicely. I replaced mine with standard Euro spec. Both my 1985 300GD and the 1999 G500 had been modified for dual filament. It was weird at first after going to factory original as I lost the running light on the fender. I used the circuit to supply a city light bulb in the headlight. | ||
