Diff Lock Problems?

If nothing is working with your diff locks, it could be a problem with the rubber membrane in the Transfer Case.
To test it, pull off the line on the center diff solenoid, and try to pump up a good vacuum with a tester. If you can't create a good vacuum (15 - 20 inHg), or it is not stable, you might have a leak in that membrane. Please remember, if the center diff is not engaged fully, none of the other diff lock will be activated.
The part# of the membrane: A463 284 00 94

Re: Diff Lock Problems?

I would add to this- whenever you replace the center shaft, always makes sense to replace this diaphragm too. Center shaft has to come out to get to this part.

I learned that from DrG.

DrG must have large hands and thick fingers.....if you need to remove the front driveshaft, I will be quiet

Isn't the driveshaft flange in the way?

Yes, the front driveshaft has to come off, then the driveshaft flange on the xfer case.  The rest is easy.
