Intake Manifold R&R and vacuum lines

Hi Everyone,
My daughters 93 500GE started running rough.
I first replaced all all spark plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor button and coil. Not much improved.
So I decided there must be vacuum leaks and I pulled the intake manifold.
This was quite a time consuming job, around 12 hours, to pull, clean and replace all gaskets, injectors, sensors, every rubber fitting and all vacuum lines. I got all the parts through MB classic and several had to come from Germany, with around $1,700 in parts. The engine now runs like new.
The G has 189k miles and should, like my sons easily hit 300Kmiles.
Hope you are all well and enjoying life.

Well done.
Have you done the fuel distributor on this truck yet?

Yes, I replaced the fuel distributor on both of the 500GE’s around 4 years ago.
I should probably replace the fuel filter however.

Re: Intake Manifold R&R and vacuum lines

I do fuel filter annually, or every 15K miles.
