I mostly do preventive maintenance to keep big problems from occurring. I also enjoy doing the work myself. Fact is: I'm way too busy - and lazy - to take my cars in to the shop. Is it really a big step up to DIY a W140? surely some things like oil changes etc can still be reasonably DIY?

Cold start is fine but warm starts are difficult and it will go dead in street. As jdc noted in the following: http://www.pointedthree.com/disc/forums/showthread.php?tid=2811&start=14 I suspect the accumulators. Mine used to have cold start problems but warm start was a snap.

He is going to, get this, fix his POS Jaguar instead! What a sad day.
