Re: Mel's GL450

I like the evolving NJ license plates that change messages.

RE: Mel's GL450

Thanks....I plan to visit some family in sterling heights, MI on the way. I also plan on stopping at Chicago, Denver, San Fransisco, then LA.  Should be a trip to remember.  Anyone ever drive xcountry before?  If so, any good stops on the way that I shouldn't miss?

Regards,

~mel

Re: Mel's GL450

We've done it twice. Once when I was really young to Los Angeles. The only thing I remember was Yellow Stone. A second time to Massachusetts, Maine, Montreal, Toronto, and Detroit.

Have fun!! And take pics of the GL too.

RE: Mel's GL450

IMHO, the single most amazing sight in the USA is the Grand Canyon.

(If you haven't seen it before.)  It's still off-season so crowds are more manageable.

But, Grand Tetons are more along your flight path it would seem.

And even the 'generic' Colorado Rockies are stunning

Don't miss Big Sur, either.  Monterey, Pebble Beach, Carmel, Montecito.......

I plan so far to drive rt 80 most of the way hitting Chicago, Omaha, Denver/Boulder, Salt Lake, Vegas, then LA/San Diego.

...will take pics of the GL along the way.  Here's a pic at the starting point.

RE: Mel's GL450

I have a gl450 like your but in black and I am in Dallas, Texas too. I have a question, how much its cost you to install the intergrate which let you can watch the dvd infront of the map screen? and have you find out about the mobile phone blue tooth or modular? I will post my pictures to let you see my vehicles later? your lovely gl450 is very nice. Thanks!
