not sure how long I will be on the R171 I have a test drive of the ML320cdi and the CLScdii on thursday (first grandkid coming wife says change the car) damm only 2700 miles on it.

Thought you decided to give the R170 the push and keep the R171 ;-)

No keeping the R170 the son drives that more than I do, he wants me to keep the 350 but having 2 cars and a annual mileage of just over 1K having a third would be crazy and costly, of interest a figure of around 33K for mine (1aug04) against one of the ones I will test drive, real reason for the test drive is to see if I can get any of them through my garage doors (big garage small doors).

Guys, have just registered here as well. Quick question, how is this different from Benz World? Layout seems similar as do a lot of the threads and members. Is this more of a UK based site?

£33k is a very good price for an 04 350. I suspect they are taking a fairly hefty slice of profit out of the cars that you are looking to purchase.

Book price is 29.5K to 32K but 2700 miles on the car gives me a bit more and yes at 45K and near 50K for the ML and CLS gives the dealer some room .

I believe many who have been on Benzworld actually find the layout here to be easier to
follow/negotiate and to be easier on the eyes. Content and members are likely to be similiar.

Re: First post into the R171 forum

What's going on? Traffic seems terrribly light on this new site.
Benzworld's gotten busier of late; what's PointedThree's fate?
Am saddened that the initial enthusiasm has seemed to wane,
Hopefully, all the work here's not been in vain.

I'm sure that a dose of doggerel is just what we need. That should bring the squirrelerels back, and they'll bring the nutterels. Everything will be OK

Here's a hopeful theory: Coincident with the startup of P3, weather in various parts of the Northern Hemisphere has started to get better. Ergo, more SLK owners are out driving, and don't have as much time to post! Dinoman

I go to benzworld and mbworld first by instinct, bad habit I guess and sometimes forget to come here but most of the topics are similiar and I don't like to repeat what I've said on three forums.

ML320cdi is a good choice! The previous version which is the ML320, not the best among Merc, have been improved with this new ML320cdi. I'd checked on its Mercedes ML320 parts and find it practically good.
