Blocked Up!!!!

i screwed up this time!!!!

by leaving my car parked with half a tank of WVO in it, for 3 weeks while i was away, has led to a clogged shut fuel line!!!!

i guess i should have used a tank screen after all!!!!

now i either have to find an air compressor, or replace the fuel line!!??

RE: Blocked Up!!!!

How cold was it there? You can also use a hair dryer, or a heat gun to make the oil liquid again. Just be careful with the heat gun.

RE: Blocked Up!!!!

Listen justin! If where gona run our cars with vegetable oil where suppose to heat it up before its ready for the engine to use it! WVO OR SVO it doesnt matter where suppose to start with diesel then when the veg oil is heated enough you flick the switch and run on veg oil for your daily journey then before 1 mile to your destination you flick that switch and stop runing your car with veg and use the diesel to clean the engine. So you start with diesel and shut off with diesel! The oil has to be heated up, so the engine can run it properly! Plus if you shut your engine with veg oil in the injector fuel lines, I hear that in long period of time they clog up so it will be impossible to start the engine, that could be my problem the other day when I couldnt get my engine started at work! Well thats what I heard! I hope things get better!!!!

Re: Blocked Up!!!!

problem solved....

i took the air compressor i borrowed from the neighbor, and blew the line out....

then i drove and filled up with ULSD.....

then i started stalling some more, so i dumped a new bottle of Powerservice Diesel Kleen in, and she's been puuurrrrfect ever since......

RE: Blocked Up!!!!

I'd wait another tank or two of fresh diesel before going to extremes.

Re: Blocked Up!!!!

with the help of the great guys over at Schumans i diagnosed my problem as a clogged up tank breather thingy. i removed it from the breather line and she's running good as new. now i have to track down a new breather thingy.

i eventually ordered this part new from the dealer, for 47 dollars.....it was called the tank vent valve.......i still havent gotten around to putting it on, months and thousands of miles later, since she runs great without it, but i'll throw it on soon.......

Re: Blocked Up!!!!

it didnt come with the rubber bit, only the plastic valve.........what a rip-off......grandma bought it, because she wanted me to have it, thought my idea of just running without one was bad.......
