OK. I guess I missed something…

I thought effective November last year there was to be no more 500 PPM diesel. At the Citgo at the intersection of US 17 and county road 640 in Polk County, Florida, they were selling 500 PPM diesel. It had the old 500 PPM sticker on the pump warning 2007 m/y diesel owners not to use the fuel. Is 500 PPM fuel still available or are they selling 15 PPM fuel and were just too lazy to change the sticker? I would assume all pumps are monitored for the proper labels.

RE: OK. I guess I missed something…

I pay 2.69$ a gallon for diesel at a fuel station called USA, the diesel pump has no stickers on it and it looked to be if the pump needed to be replaced! THOUGH, Ive seen many fuel stations where the diesel pumps still has no sticker indicating that the diesel is ULSD, either it has not arrived or there forgeting to put the sticker on the diesel pumps! idk?

They do not have to sell it until 2010.

Then I did miss something – or misread some things, I should say; the literature I read seemed to indicate this was to be mandated by this year. It seems a disincentive to those wanting to buy a BlueTec car, for example, making the search for 15 PPM diesel that much more difficult.

Why the ‘panic’ over ULSD in the older diesel community? The same incorrect inference as me? Those concerned about ULSD need to search out the 500 PPM stations, at least for the next three years.

It could also be the veggie oil you’ve got in there.

Mine still smells very diesel.
