Wow. It's a good thing they cover up that mess. It's very interesting from a mechanical and engineering standpoint, but it sure makes me worried where the future is going.....

 

So much for the next generation of DIY'ers and shade-tree mechanics. Even changing the belt on that looks like a PITA!
