Kleemann Products?

Does anyone here have any experience with Kleemann products? My buddy recently bought an E320 CDI and was looking at their ECU and exhaust upgrade. The site claims the addition of the ECU alone will increase hp from 224 to 250 hp and torque from 377 to 444 lb./ft.. The question is, will this void his factory warranty? In high school and college we had friends who switched out their ECU's on Acuras and the dealer was never the wiser. It's not that he is looking to drive the car like all hell, but extra power is always nice and with a turbo, power gains are incredibly simple. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have dseen discussion of the Kleemann and the Carlsson boxes on another forum. The Kleemann supposedly causes the engine to smoke at lot, whereas the Carlsson does not. Also, I think the Carlsson gives just a bit more uptick, although it's also a bit more pricey. I don't know about the Kleemann, but the Carlsson box is a plug (and unplug) and play. No cutting or soldering. No evidence left behind when it's unplugged.

I've also heard good things about the Carlsson, those that I have seen have power and economy modes (both boosting performance) giving you the best of both worlds - the economy of a frugal Diesel for cruising and the torque of a semi trailer when you need it.

Re: Kleemann Products?

What year E320 CDI?

I haven't seen ANY issues with the Kleemann KD-Box's as far as smoking. It's a plug-n-play unit and takes under 1hr to mount very nicely and securely.
The units are $895.

I can give you exact power specs tomorrow from my other computer...better MPG too!

Ok, got it; ~30hp/80trq!

Fits '03+ I-4, I-5, I-6, Bluetec V6 CDi, or Bluetec V8 DIESEL engines, no '09 Bluetec w/ AdBlue urea inj

I hope that helps.
