Looking a G with a swaped engine i found a engine wit the number
617 142 13 01 AE
Is it an OM 617 or an OM 617A ?? |

all of the production G's were non-turbo.........some have had turbo-motors installed as custom jobs.....
the turbo motor is OM617.952.........i believe this is what OM617A refers to.......

i just consulted my book, and it doesnt list ANY OM617.142
the turbo motor is 617.952
the non-turbo is 617.912
maybe that number refers to something else........... |

i asked around, and got an answer for you........
im told that thats the part number for an exhaust manifold for a 617.912 used world wide.
