I mean, I understand there are times (esp in AL) when it's just too damn hot etc. But A/C on an old Mercedes just seems to be dicey all round.. |

You've been in new cars too long  Mr Shlomo's A/C works perfectly well, but you do have to use both feet at red lights to keep it cold-- otherwise, the RPMs are too low, and it doesn't do it's job. On the highway, it's not as effective as leon's(they used an a/c system from a MUCH larger car on neons, and they have VERY high-volume blower fans) but it's effective.
On a 107, I'd need it for the meat of the summer, not spring or fall. Also-- Have you ever tried to defrost your windows in Alabama with no A/C and only outside air available as it is in the older cars? It doesn't happen. I'd rather maintain an A/C system than to have to keep a matching window wiping towel in the console. |
