Sprinter Diesel CDR 3.0L V6 vs CDI 3.2L Inline 6cyl

I am considering upgrading my G with a newer diesel engine in hoping to get more power.
I see that Mercedes put out 2 version of diesel engine, V6 in a Sprinter and inline 6cyl in a E320 CDI.
Which one is more superior? It seems that the V6 produce up to 260HP and the inline 6cyl produce up
to 206HP. Integrating the V6 from Sprinter seems to be much easier as the electronics are much simpler.
Then again, inline 6cyl seems to be more quieter.

Any comments? info?

The inline 6 is a better engine IMHO. It's more simple and compact.

The V6--available only in 2007 Sprinter--is same engine as in 2007 USA cars and SUVs, although in lower state of tune (280).

The inline 6 was also produced in inline 5 and inline 4 configurations and 2006 and some earlier Sprinters had the 5 (270).

It seems logical that the earlier electronics will be simpler but I wouldn't count on much simpler and I wouldn't count on Sprinter electronics being simpler than car electronics at all.

The V design dates to 2005 and the inline design to 1999 and it's ridiculous to think the newer engine is a retrograde step.

StarTech has a version w/ 262HP.

I see that Sprinter are readily avail than the E320CDI as donor car.

Will OM603 crank out enough HP for highway driving? 200HP?
