The bodywork and mechanics are in excellent condition, with no rust (both front wings replaced). However there is rust starting to form underneath the rear parcel shelf. Rust covered about 1/3 of the surface area on the underside, but is still felt solid. I assume the rust has come through from the inside. If I replace the rear window seal (to stop any further leaks) and treat the current rust area, will that be okay? Or am I looking at replacing the whole shelf? If so any idea of the part number and cost of this? Some of the wood on the dash board is starting to warp a little. Is this trim expensive to buy to new from MB, or are there any suppliers for pattern parts? Thank you in advance.

My wood is also warped in places...I just try to live with it

I checked under the carpet in the bootwell, and everything was fine there. Just the rust under the shelf. I left a deposit with the seller and hope to collect next weekend. I'll post some pictures whenI get it back home.
