That fuel filler door is yuuuuuge and really unfortunately placed.

I’ll bet the fuel tank has been moved for rear end crash safety considerations.

I’ll bet the fuel tank has been moved for rear end crash safety considerations.


Looks like the pillars are wider and windows are smaller, maybe for rollover strenght.

What a relief - I was worried it would be independent suspension, ugly interior, AND ugly exterior. At least we have an exterior we can live with. And depending on the traction/stability electronics a future solid axle swap could be feasible. So the worst we have to deal with is the ugly interior. Theres no getting around that ugly interior...

They've put roof rack mounting points on the roof, looks like 3 on each side. Rather than using the guttering. I imagine MB will be selling appropriate racks to fit. Let's hope they're suitable for offroading.
