My PUCH

Wow today was a great day. My kids and I were riding down a road near me and sporting that great new PUCH badge on the front. Anyway after going through a light there was a good looking (no not making it up) young lady and her friend in a Mini and they started yelling Hey Pull over!! I figured something was wrong so I did, they did a U Turn and came back. They were from Austria here as nannies. They freaked out. I feel better that I made their day.
I told them come visit any time, AS long as my wife is home.. I know better

Re: My PUCH

Now fellas (and ladies) I know we are all G centric but I am seriously worried that we are so Puch/G focused that we totally missed the two nannies in the Mini. And they want to see the 'mog? I am living in the wrong part of the wrong country.

Re: My PUCH

PS

Vis a Vis Nannies in Minis

Last night on the West Side Highway driving home in bumper to bumper traffic the guy next to me is yelling and gesticulating violently while he is sitting right next to me in his Chevy Cavalier. He is clearly agitated and I make it a habit to ignore these wackos but as I never exceeded 5 miles per hour for the last mile and had been sitting for greater than 45 minutes and really had not any recollection of being discourteous, I rolled down my window and inch and heard this guy screaming (amongst other unpleasantries) "gas wasting, German piece of sh*t and you fu**ers who care nothing for the environment and your fellow motorists..." at which point I rolled up my window and turned up the stereo. Boy, I am so living in the wrong part of the world when there are G's being honked at by pretty women. Oh, well.

Re: My PUCH

Let me tell you in Delaware people for one HATE the Hummers. Every time it snows at least one soccer mom wrecks one. Second I think that people here like to see these "odd" cars.
You must remember that Delaware is duPont country. It is not uncommon to see a steam powered car or Irenee duPonts 1918 Caddy (and some times covered in mud from playing on his farm" going down the road.
What people really hate here is "new money" people flaunting what they have.
Irenee duPont is worth over 7 Billion $
You want to know what he drives ? ? A 1981 Chevett. Cream with red interior.
That is a major reason people in Delaware will honk at a 26 yo gwagon.
Now about the PUCH badge on the front.
People have talked about why NOT to badge a gwagon with PUCH. I did not convert my G to look like PUCH. It was badged PUCH from the get go. Even the vin plate.
I like it and want to keep it orig

Re: My PUCH

Keep it original and replace the duct tape with a fire light.

Re: My PUCH

Two of my collegues and I went out for lunch today at our favorite pizza joint. On our way, a family from Germany in a Ford van rental was in awe. It turns out they were on their way for lunch too. Anyways, they were shocked to see an early 460 SWB in Arkansas of all places. It was their first G they saw in the U.S. They were from Nuernberg.

On my way home, there was a guy waiting at the stoplight with me. We rolled down our windows. He said he was once stationed in Ramstein and saw many Gs. He liked mine by the way.
