The number plate does not look like a Hong Kong number plate. Hong Kong number plates are two letters and four numbers with a space between the letters and numbers.

The best 460 I have ever seen. Did Mercedes use this colour back in the 80s?

Beautiful job the paint looks like glass. I don't forsee any off roading in the near future with this beauty.

Does the engine bay look equally nice?

Congratulations
Mark

Now that is awesome. My curiousity begs me to ask. Was there something attached to the glovebox door ? I notice 4 rivet or snap like things.

Re: Restored 280GE in Hong Kong -pics

Ah! So the paint was a new paint job. Yeah, it looked too good to be original. What was the original paint colour? See if you can obtain a plate number that is any two letters followed by 8888 (or 888 is fine too since I see some HK motorcars with only three numbers). Heheheh!!! Are the jumpseats MB or another manufacturer?

That looks better then new. I am sure the cost was well worth the result. Mine is going in next month for a frame off restro so I hope it turns out half as nice as that
