Many offroaders calls mine " The Bus " .

I hate to say it but some also calls it Strange JEEP ( for them any 4x4 is a Jeep )

RE: Common G-Wagon Phrases...

Over here in the Netherlands SUV's are often referred to as: 'PC Hoofdstraat' Tractor

The 'PC Hoofdstraat' is the main shopping street of Amsterdam. You go there to be seen. Most of the girlfriends/wives of millionaire football players, artists and the likes drive high-end SUV's including the G-Class. They do their shopping in this street.

When people tell me that I'm driving a 'PC Hoofdstraat' Tractor, I always tell them that a G-Class is not an SUV but a 4x4 and that these two things are definitely NOT the same.

I always refer to my G as ... The Beast!

When people hear that 3 Liter straight Six roar ... they know I am right

Re: Common G-Wagon Phrases...

Norwegian nickname for it from the 80's "Børstraktor" - Stock market tractor.

A lot of the yuppies during the good times on the stock market bought G-wagons to show off their money. After snowfalls and plowing you could see a G-wagon parked in the middle of every snow heap near the stock market in Oslo
