Is it just me or does the W140 despite the youngest cars being 7/8 years old become a target for those who hate people who have MB, because of its size luxary etc? This has been getting at me for a while now, since I have had my W140 I have already had the base of the star tampered with  and a while ago when driving through an intersection at night this drunk ran out and either ran into or kicked my car. I thought that I hit him. I even had this one guy geer at me in the parking lot something about driving a merc and being a homo. Anyone else get this?? | |

| RE: W140: A target for retards. Yup. I hate it too. Once, some idiot thought he was cool, and he threw some tomato sauce at my car. Luckily, it wasn't a bottle. Just the little packets. But there were a bunch. I hope I don't get keyed anytime soon. I have gotten keyed on my W126, and I really don't have any money to fix it if it happens any time soon. People are so dumb sometimes.  | ||

Last Easter Sunday, I was at church and when I came out, my 2 passenger side windows had been shot by either a .22 or a Pellet Gun. It was only done to my car, and another W220 S500 in the parking lot. All the Fords and Toyotas were fine! Lucky for me only the outer pain of glass shattered so I could still drive without getting glass in my face. In my dads 1989 300E back in 1990, had its windshield smashed in with a baseball bat while he was at a meeting. I hate these people! Who cares if I drive a merc?!? I dunno what is with these people. I guess the S class is a real eye catcher though. I have a mate who is working security and another guy I know who was at this event teh first question he asked about me was: Am I still driving that massive merc? Its kinda sad that I have become known as the guy with the merc but what the hell. Dantefr, It is very sad to hear that. People can be impossible sometimes. Was than on the S500? or the 500SEL? Also, how much did it cost to fix? NZ Benz, Yea, the S Class really is an eyecatcher. Just Yesterday evening, I parked my S500 outside, and was installing my new Grille kit. This older man was walking his dog, and he came by a couple times, and was looking at my car pretty much the whole time. And then, right before he left, on his fourth time, he said: "Nice Mercedes." That was cool.  Gotta love that. | ||

| Re: W140: A target for retards. Jesus why can't people just admire a nice car when they see one. Jealousy is one of the most pathetic crimes. Lets face it W140's can be bought for peanuts compared to their original cost so we are not all millionaires. I saw a very nice clean W140 tonight metallic grey on 18" amg's probably replicas and yesterday on the way to work I saw a Rolls Royce Phantom. At neither time did I have the urge to follow these guys so that I could deface their cars. I guess much like you guys I don't know what I would do if I caught some idiot keying my car, I might have to bury him in my back garden, but then again my little puppy Jack Russell would probably dig him up in a few years time. People are just ignorant, and think that my 10,000 dollar 126 cost more than their 20,000 dollar Subaru, or whatever. All my neighbors think that i'm either a spoiled little brat or a drug dealer.
