If yes, please say so in the header. You don't even say so in the message body. Please read the sticky message at the beginning of this forum. Is this the same engine that was giving you trouble before the swap?

This is the engine removed from the 280ge that would all of a sudden shut off while driving. After removing the accumulator i noticed it had some pin holes rusted through at the top so theres a chance it could have been that. Rusted tank, fuel pump relay getting hot, hole in accumulator, and several other weak links and connections in fuel system gave me more than enough reason to just do the diesel swap which is what i originally planned for the G since day one. Also cannot completly rule out ignition system causing problem, but again thats just one more thing I get to avoid with the diesel. Aside from the shutting of problem which was caused by a source other than engine itself, the M110 ran great with plenty of power and no smoke. Has all the records for fluid changes and tune ups provided by MB shops used with previous owners. Edited by GulfCoast280GE 5/19/2011 12:21 PM
