Surfa Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Transmission Click Clack 300TD 1980 Hi. Trouble is this: 'Click and Clack' sound as gears are about to change between 2/3 (and to a lesser extent 3/4). From two to half a dozen fast clacks. Only when cold. Sound goes away after a few gear changes. Filter and fluid (both converter and pan) are new. No debris in pan. Fluid was clean. Fluid level is correct. No leaks. Fluid used is Castrol Transmax M. There is slight flare between 3/4 but otherwise the transmission is fine. Car is 300TD 1980 non turbo. Any leads? Cheers, Mark 300TD 1980 300D 1981 | ||
