Detailing my car

The Southern Stars section of MBCA wants me to come to a concourse on Jekyll Island, Georgia, so folks can see my car - it was the '06 raffle prize. I feel as if I should detail the car before showing it. It's not that I want to win, but really feel like I should do something special for the club. Anyone know were I can get a lazy man's guide to auto detailing or info to that effect? Thanks.

Wow... you actually won one of those raffles?
Good for you!

There is an automotive detailing section on the forum

Cheers!

RE: Detailing my car

I am sure that there are mobile auto-detailers that can come to your location and give your car a professional detail. Be sure that they use a clay bar first and - at the very least - a good, natural carnuba. There are quick detail sprays and the like that can give your car a quick dress-up. But they only really work well if you have a good foundation of wax or polish to enhance.

I was lazy with detailing my cars before I got my SLK and started modding it. Since then, I have started detailing my own cars and I really love it. I use Zaino personally. Check out my gallery for the results.

Good luck.
