Photos to follow. Camped most nights. Rain softened some trails, but got to see most things we wanted to see. The trip down was very windy - steady winds of 55 mph, with gusts to 75 near Reno. DV was windy most days, with some sun but cooler than normal. One night when camping two miles out toward Race Track, winds were gusting to 65 with rain. Must be the very conditions that lead to rocks being moved around on the ancient lake bed. We had snow in Joshua Tree and 29 Palms, then sun for two days. The place was empty, so we had good camping around the bolders. Photos to follow.
Welcome back Tom. Sounds great. Get those pics up. | ||
