Also, porche reckong hard in Rocket Mount NC, had them off 944's. 20 per side.

Porsche buckets should be available from a junk yard for considerably less than a new Hella bucket; and Porsche is what Europa Int'l sold me when I purchased a replacement.
WD-40 is a lousy choice for anti-seize and water proofing. Dialectric Grease is much better! |

Hmmm so what to get? The Speaker lights or the Truck Lites? Seems this board talks more about the Speakers and MBWorld the Truck Lites haha!
Edit: Dang the Speakers are double what the Truck Lites cost! If they are that much better understandable BUT I find it hard to believe they are worth that much more?

I have it on very good authority from a friend who is a professional in the automotive lighting business that the Truck Lites are not good, and the Speaker lights are most excellent. He does not work for Speaker, btw. |

That is not correct. Maybe retail, there is a price gap such as that. But if you do some homework, there is only about $50 USD difference between both sets. |

That is not correct. Maybe retail, there is a price gap such as that. But if you do some homework, there is only about $50 USD difference between both sets.
Able to send me a PM with this info? The best price I have found for the Speakers is $800/pair which seems very very good! The Truck lites are $460/Pair.
Any advice to find cheaper Speakers that would be great!! |

The upgrade would be for my 02 G500. I saw your comparison and it seems the Speakers are waaaaay better than stock 02's! Have you considered upgrading your 02? Also, if I do upgrade I'm guessing I won't need the bucket correct? I think 02 are for sure the DOT round style? That would save a few bucks lol
Edit: I know someone asked about error codes for the newer 02+ G's and I not think ht person or anyone else has posted if they do or not? You haven't tried to put in a set off one of your GEs tO check for codes have ya?

Yes, the light output does seem much better than my 02 stock. I have not upgraded the 02 lights, but expect that I will in the future. As for the buckets on the 02, I don't know. I have not taken the trim off the 02 headlights, so I don't know if there is a bucket there or not. Anyone?
No, I have not tried to put them in the 02. I just upgraded the two 93 500GE's and have not done anything to the 02. Sorry.
I know a few other members are in the process of installing these in pre MBUSA G's, I don't know about anyone with a 02 or newer one that is changing the lights out.

Thanks for the info AGuess! I hate to be the Ginni pig when it comes to these lights for 02+ models BUT someone has to do it haha
It might be a few until I get them ordered and find the time to install BUT when I do I'll let you know if I get any Error codes or need a bucket!

Dang! All I can say is, these lights actually work well.
A+ for Speaker LED headlamps.
Installation took me about 2.5 hours. It was a pain.
Here is a tip- Pre-Assemble the headlamp bucket, headlamp bezel, and LED lamp prior to installation. It makes it a lot easier putting all three pieces together and then installing it into the truck.

If your G was Federalized, it probably has that style bucket. |

You need the buckets.
You may be able to make it work with the Euro buckets if you but the Porsche headlamp ring.
The headlamp ring acts as a retainer and sandwiches the Speaker LED lamp to the bucket. |
