So far we have no issue installing the engine but unlike most conversion done in Europe or NOrth America my set up would be slightly different due to tropical climate, high humidity, and worse heavy traffic congestion. For my use I'll do the following: 1. An upgraded cooling system (A/C compressor and condensor from W220 S-class). The stock A/C couldn't cope with the +36 celcius and 86% humidity. Avg speed for city driving is approx 26km/h due to gridlock. 2. Electric fan (possibly 850W G55 aux fan) 3. Uprated DieselPumpUK aftermarket intercooler 4. Removed the front skid plate to clear for the intercooler (pic attached). Is this a common way? Since this is my first time doing the conversion has anyone had any experience with similar set-up? Any input greatly appreciated Thanks in advance, Chris

It keeps my G300 very cool in the desert. That 850w electric fan requires a control system to drive it. It isn't simply on/off. The smaller fans aren't up to the task. I've tried that route and have a new head gasket to show for it.

If you have any intentions to go offroad then puncture of the cooler and debris / mud clogging the cooler fins are the first things that comes to mind. Since it also requires you to loose the front protection plate, the bottom of your main radiator as well as the lower part of your steering box and drag link are more exposed. I hear that Indonesia is very beautiful and a spectacular country of go off the beaten track, would be a shame to loose that ability.
