Your second picture looks like the rear chassis section (handbrake cable evident) ie there should be no VIN there.

This also looks a bit strange- two difflock lights and only one shifter http://www.g-mercedes.com/inventory-for-sale/&detail=J&id=77&JGALL_...

So, it seems legit but there are so many red flags with the vehicles that it is fair to say that this dealer can not be trusted

His experience was super shady and he got a raw deal. The truck has a defender brush guard on it that he was told was OEM military and it appears the same for the roof rack after seeing pictures. He could only opay cash and was not allowed to drive it on the road only in the parking lot. Something about insurance and plates. The buyer happened to own a dealership so his insurance would cover it but still he was not allowed to drive it on the streets till after he bought it. And then after all that he was literally told " good luck" with getting it registered and titled properly. I would avoid this guy like the plague along with Mastadon or whatever they call themselves these days. I understand you will not have a perfect truck on any used vehicle but at least have full disclosure (best of your knowledge) and not be a sheisty salesman trying to get over on someone. These people ruin it for others and make the industry look bad.
