Edit; I have found one improvement on the new model, the grooves on the roof are now reversed so they don´t collect water...

The look is definitely different: Only a tach with digital speedometer. Humm!
I do however like the brush guard for one reason. I parked on the street and when I returned some idiot had put his bumper against my bumper. Had I had this guard I would have pushed the a$$ a little. |

I love my rattle-can black bumper. Scuffs and scrapes? The biggest delay is hunting down the can and shaking it. Back to factory new.

Sure looks like bead blasted stainless to me. I could be wrong, but it's called the "Stainless Steel Packet". |

Anybody who needs a back up camera or park assist shouldn,t be allowed to drive.
That SIMILI push bar won,t be very solid and watch what they sell it for if you damage it.
Hit the back of a Ford F250 at 5 MPH and you might have 10,000 dollars damage on this thing
I have givven up on German vehicles after realising how they are robbing their clients on service costs and
parts prices. Even poorly designed parts that fail prematurly are sold for absurdly high prices.
Back in the old days, a used Mercedes was a good buy. Today if it,s out of warranty, it,s a money pit.
The German manufactures aren,t just cheating on Diesel emissions, there colluding on service and parts prices.
The German government has just scratched the surface of the matter but the car industry is so important to their
economy that we may never know the whole story.

Gott sei Dank for my 2000 G500, which was built in November 1999. It is just over 18 yrs old, and still running strong. |

Hated it when I first saw the pics of the matte grey/black one with the red accents but the white one looks decent. While not for me I am sure this will sell just fine to the target market!
