Interesting. Their supposed original price of the 1985 230GE is way out of line high.

For comparison, my loaded 1984 280GE was the equivalent of US$26,610.00 when delivered new to me in Stuttgart in August 1984. There's no way that a lesser model 230GE will jump to $46,000 in one year.

I think it´s correct when inflation is calculated. 230GE costed about 60.000 DEM in 1985, that was about 20.000 USD or about 46.000 USD in today´s money.

On the other hand the current 18k USD price for a German Note 1 condition 230G is highly unrealistic. I guess such car would go around 40k Euro in Germany...
