Re: Rear sunroof drain location at rear

Parked over the weekend in driveway with the front up from the driveway
It rained the night before
As soon as car got on the road some water came in from the dome light.
I suspected the rear drains were blocked sending excess water to the front.
Checked all 4 drains and they work perfectly .
What can this be?
Its the 2nd time this happens
Thanks
Erick

Hi Ertech
Check the exterior rubber antenna above the dome light, it can develop a tear going thru the car wash.
There is a circuit board in the dome light, right under that antenna that could be developing corrosion at its connectors.
You might want to check this out if your cabin heat, wiper sensor or head light auto on, don't respond properly.

To add injury, the circuit board sits within a plastic bowl shaped shield, holding water against the contacts until it evaporates.
I found my contacts covered with green crud, probably from electrical current conduction as the connectors sit in the water for long periods.
