Any way to add air to rear spare without removal?

Any way to add air to rear spare without removal of the tire from rear door? May be a silly question.

RE: Any way to add air to rear spare without removal?

The valve stem would have to be on the top side of the tire, and if you have tiny hands, you may be able to reach it... but you might need a connector with a right-angle to fit it onto the stem.

You could try backing the nuts off and leave them with a couple threads still on them, and pul the tire back to the edge of the bolts to give you more room so you don't have to pull it completely off…

I guess that you G is an 03, and if you have not had to air up the spare, it is about time to take it off and look for any leaks.

yes. it is time to check. This is one of many reasons the reverse spare tire holder is appealing but will probably stick with stock out of concern for damage to door or potential stress to same. Don't understand why it is not an issue on Land Rover Defender door but is on Mercedes G door.

If you drive your G-wagen the way we do.....you do not need a spare tire at all

I use such an extension (permanently installed but be sure of its quality to avoid leak !) :

The only logical solution, especially if you've upsized your tires and the factory cover won't fit-
