Any fix for exterior door handle button sticking vs. having to replace handle. The button is hard to push and sticks. I hope maybe someone has a fix but will replace if needed.

The hardware on the G-Wagons is very simplistic in nature. Remove the handle, clean and lubricate it.

I had the same issue on all doors and simply took out all handles and buttons and cleaned them all really good without any lubrication. All works great like new now.

JCH4 - 11/14/2018 2:09 PM Any advice, tips, etc for removing the handles? Is there a diagram etc? I searched internet but could not find anything on point. Two bolts. To access the one, you'll have to remove the inside panel. (DoorHandle.jpg) Attachments ---------------- DoorHandle.jpg (26KB - 5 downloads)

On my 2004, I just had to remove one screw on the door jam, and the handle can be slide out without removing the door panel.

Purchased 3-n--1 oil door lock lubricant today. Sprayed around the push button and now all door locks work as well as they did when new. No question would be better to remove lock assembly and clean/lubricate but for now good fix.Thank you for responses.
