ufotwuk - 7/9/2006 2:05 AM A dealership offerred to let us test 3 H2's for possible use as urban search and rescue vehicles, so we took them to the Hollister off-road park and took them through the paces. As we were taking them up a rocky slope with plenty of loose rocks, one of them broke a tie rod and had to be towed back. Needless to say, we did NOT purchase H2's... Phil What did they get? |

I'll put my 280 GE with 32 inch BFG M/T's up against an H2 on that course any day of the week, I'll even leave the winch at home and let them stay stuck... |

I think that is hilarious...
When I had a friend with an H1 attempt to follow me up to my cabin in North Carolina, he could not make it up the mountain. He was too wide for the road which had very steep side slopes. |

as all of you mentioned, the tires kill the G, and in the clips where the G is missing im sure its because they couldn't dummy stick it. In the sand hill you can see the diff's are not locked, and on the long hill where it gets stuck they drive up there tracks and then plow directly into the deep sand with the G. It seems they must have locked the diff's, is spins moves a foot and they let out, then it spins moves and they let out to make sure you think its stuck. On the water crossing im sure the H2 does have a huge advantage. Heck its got 35" tires on it from the factory where we have 29-30" tires.
I also find it strange that the lex and rover bottom out that easy. Don't they have an off road setting that raises the vehicle like 3-4 inches? |

Be patient, most of the clip is pretty boring, our favorite hummer "captin" shows his stuff in the middle of the clip.

Unless I'm mistaken, that stunt on the articulation ramp is a protest against alle these big, nasty, polluting 4x4s. I keep remembering reading about this somewhere on the net, but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it.
If you take a closer look on the video after the Hummer has tipped over, you can see people congratulating the guy and clapping their hands. Also, thr guy that did it, doesn't look very depressed for a guy that just mangled his expensive car....
