Has anyone noticed a 1979 G for sale in the Los Angeles area on eBay recently: I noticed this G was sold approximately two weeks ago (7/9) for $10,100. Now that buyer (or I should say turned seller) has the G going for $15,000. All you have to do is look in the Completed Listings of eBay.

The Marketplace will help determine his price; and more power to him, if he can turn a quick profit!! It's called Capitalism. Hoorah for it!! P.S. It's not a 1979, in spite of what the seller says.

I just noticed the seller has a Buy It Now for $24,500. Hehehe!!! That's right! The VIN is the giveaway that it is not a 1979.

It very well might be slower and stop more unsafe than my 20 year old Schwinn. What a joke. I can't believe anybody would be stupid enough to bid on that. Return it to a well taken care of "veteran" and it may have some value. At least it wouldn't be embarrassing.

That is the thing I do not like--the wheels. Although I do not like the fake Louis Vutton interior (have to see pics from original seller from two weeks ago), I could live with it. Whoever buys this G, I hope they put original wheels or wheels recommended on Harald's site. Michael: I am sorry your friend was outbid at the last minute. I am sure if your friend was successful, they would have taken great care of it including putting back original rims.
